Behavioural Policy:

Discipline

Pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school. Hence misbehaviour in public or streets or conveyances justifies dismissal. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of homework, indiscipline, disobedience towards members of the staff, bad moral influence, any kind of malpractice or objectionable behaviour not keeping with the spirit of Holy Cross International School, justify dismissal.

School Rules

  • Be in school on time.

  • Value the time, as it does not wait for anybody.

  • To regard the school as his/her second home and do everything possible to keep the classroom and the school premises neat and pleasing to the eye.

  • Attend the school in a proper, smart and neat uniform.

  • Being polite and respectful towards all the teaching and supporting staff of the school.

  • To avoid vulgarity in talk and behavior, no matter whatever might be the provocation.

  • Queue up while moving for assembly library, laboratories or to the ground.

  • Never bully the weak or make fun of the old, the poor or the differently abled.

  • Obey the rules and regulations of the school.

  • Never tell lies whatever may be the cause.

  • Making use of the words and phrases such as ‘Please’, ‘Thank you’, ‘Sorry’, ‘Excuse me’, ‘I beg your pardon, ‘May I help you’ etc.

 

Examination Policy:

Scheme of Assessment and Evaluation

  • We focus our attention on ‘What our students are learning’ along with “the skill sets they are acquiring,” CBSE has always stressed that its students must acquire the skills of critical thinking, problem solving, analyzing information, collaboration, effective communication, developing curiosity and imagination as part of the learning process.

  • The performance of students will be assessed by means of Periodic Tests, Notebooks and Projects and Annual Assessment. There are three periodic Tests: PT1, PT2, PT3 and PT4 the Annual Assessment according to the following schedule. PT1, PT2 and PT3 and PT4 Average of best 2-PTs (of 20 marks) in all subjects.

  • The marks secured by the students in Average of the Periodic Tests are finally converted to ten respectively. Notebooks (5 marks) and Project (5 marks) shall be awarded in the Academic Session.

 

Promotion Policy:

For students of Class I to Class VII, Promotion will be granted on the basis of their overall performance during the academic session. Their performance will be tested through continuous/periodic assessment.
